Brit Group Holdings Limited welcomes a new Non-Executive Director, enhancing leadership and strategy for future growth.
Brit Group Holdings Limited, a leading global specialty insurer and reinsurer, has announced the appointment of Jean-Jacques Henchoz as a Non-Executive Director. He will join the boards of both Brit Group Holdings Limited and its Lloyd’s managing agent, Brit Syndicates Limited. This appointment is set to take effect from May 1st, 2025, pending regulatory approvals.
Henchoz brings with him a wealth of experience, having spent over 27 years in the global reinsurance industry. Notably, he most recently served as the Chairman and CEO of Hannover Re since 2019. Before his tenure at Hannover Re, Henchoz dedicated over two decades to Swiss Re, where he held various leadership roles, ultimately becoming the CEO of Reinsurance and the Regional President for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.

Earlier this year, in February, Brit Insurance reported an impressive increase in its year-on-year profit before tax from continuing operations, reaching $661 million for 2024. This growth was accompanied by an expansion in insurance premiums written, which totaled $3.78 billion.
