Apollo, a leading insurance platform, is excited to announce the appointment of Mike Krefta as Non-Executive Director of Apollo Syndicate Management Limited, subject to regulatory approval. Krefta brings with him over two decades of rich experience in the insurance sector, covering key markets in both London and Bermuda.
During his illustrious career, Krefta served as CEO of Hiscox Re and ILS, where he spearheaded strategic initiatives across teams in Bermuda, London, and Paris. Before his role as CEO, he was the Chief Underwriting Officer at Hiscox Re, showcasing his profound understanding of the industry.
Most recently, Krefta founded Meadow Consulting Limited, a re/insurance advisory firm. Here, he provided invaluable guidance to multinational insurers and institutional investors on various strategic fronts, including business strategy, risk management, and product development. His expertise also extends to insurance-linked securities (ILS) and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices.
