Marking a significant milestone as Turkey’s pioneer national insurance company, Anadolu Sigorta, in collaboration with Marmara University, is embarking on an initiative to enhance professional development within the insurance sector. This partnership was officially announced on March 24th, with the participation of key figures such as Anadolu Sigorta Deputy General Manager İdil Pamir, the Anadolu Sigorta Academy team, Marmara University Faculty of Financial Sciences Dean Prof. Dr. Server Demirci, along with department heads and academicians.
This initiative will see the launch of the ‘Sector Practices in Insurance’ course, offered by Anadolu Sigorta Academy. The course is designed for students enrolled in the Faculty of Financial Sciences, Department of Insurance at Marmara University, aiming to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, thus contributing to sectoral employment.
Commemorating its centennial anniversary, Anadolu Sigorta reinforces its foundational mission as ‘Turkey’s insurance school’, a directive conceptualized by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk in 1925. Deputy General Manager İdil Pamir emphasized the strategic importance of this educational collaboration, noting, “Our partnership with Marmara University is a crucial step towards nurturing future insurance professionals. By integrating practical insights into academic frameworks, we are committed to elevating the caliber of human resources in the sector. We extend our gratitude to all who have facilitated this promising venture.”
Dean Prof. Dr. Server Demirci of Marmara University’s Faculty of Financial Sciences remarked, “The synergy between academia and the private sector is vital for our students’ professional growth.
