Allianz Trade Announces Leadership Change

Allianz Trade has formally declared that Benoît des Cressonnières, the Global Head of Reinsurance and CEO of Euler Hermes Reinsurance AG, will retire on September 30th, 2025. Following an illustrious career, des Cressonnières will step down, and Philippe Dessèvre is set to succeed him, pending regulatory approval, starting October 1st, 2025.

Benoît des Cressonnières joined Allianz Trade in 1997, initially serving as the CFO for Allianz Trade in Belgium. From 2000 to 2007, he took on the role of Director of Reinsurance & Investor Relations and Corporate Secretary at the Paris headquarters. His current roles include Global Head of Reinsurance and CEO for Euler Hermes Reinsurance AG in Zurich. Additionally, he is a member of the Managing Committee of the Allianz Group Reinsurance Office and has served as Vice-President and President of the International Credit Insurance & Surety Association (ICISA) over the past four years.

Philippe Dessèvre, who will take over the reins, has been the Chief Financial Officer for Allianz Trade in DACH since 2022. His journey with Allianz Trade began in 2000 as Head of Financial Control in France. Dessèvre has held various strategic positions, including CFO/COO of Allianz Trade Multinationals, Allianz Trade in France, and Group Chief Risk Officer from 2016 to 2021.
