Sabancı Group announces a major leadership transition across its leading insurance brands, marking a new strategic phase for the company.
Sabancı Group has implemented significant senior management transitions within its three key insurance subsidiaries – AgeSA, Aksigorta, and Medisa. These leadership updates mark a new chapter in the strategic direction and operational focus of the companies. As part of the restructuring, Soner Akkaya, previously serving as Deputy General Manager of Claims and Legal Affairs, has officially stepped down from his position.
Effective January 1, 2026, Zeynep Eröktem, who has been the Deputy General Manager of Finance at Aksigorta, will assume the role of Deputy General Manager of Claims and Legal Affairs. In parallel, Zeliha Ersen Altınok, currently leading financial activities at AgeSA, will take on the expanded responsibility of overseeing financial operations across AgeSA, Aksigorta, and Medisa.
Zeynep Eröktem earned her degree in English Economics from Istanbul University and later obtained a Master’s in Economics and Finance from Boğaziçi University. Her professional career began in 2005 in external auditing, followed by corporate finance consulting between 2007 and 2009. In 2010, she joined H.Ö. Sabancı Holding’s Retail and Insurance Group as a Financial Analyst, eventually advancing to Finance Manager. By January 2020, Eröktem became Financial Control Group Manager at Aksigorta and, since May 2023, she has been serving as Deputy General Manager of Finance. Her wealth of experience in financial governance positions her to lead the claims and legal strategies successfully.
Zeliha Ersen Altınok completed her undergraduate studies in the Faculty of Business Administration at Istanbul University. She began her career as an auditor at Grant Thornton and later advanced as a financial controller at Raymond James. Pursuing an MBA at Strayer University further enriched her analytical capabilities. Altınok held critical financial roles at Koç Allianz and Ak Emeklilik before becoming Planning, Reporting, and Budget Manager at AvivaSA after its merger with Ak Emeklilik in 2007. In 2013, she transitioned into the role of Finance and Accounting Group Manager. Since March 2021, she has been the Deputy General Manager of Finance at AgeSA, and under the new structural alignment, she will be responsible for the consolidated financial management of three major insurance companies.
This leadership reorganization signifies Sabancı Group’s continued commitment to strengthening its financial and operational resilience across its insurance portfolio, reflecting a forward-looking approach toward growth and innovation in the sector.
