K2 Insurance Services, a prominent independent specialty insurance program manager, has announced the launch of K2 Cyber, a new managing general agent (MGA) dedicated to providing cyber insurance solutions for small to medium-sized businesses (SMBs).
K2 Cyber offers what they term as Intelligent Cyber Insurance, which integrates continuous risk engineering, advanced prevention tools, and comprehensive cyber education. This data-driven strategy utilizes AI, behavioral analytics, real-time threat intelligence, SaaS integrations, and automated risk assessments to deliver customized, proactive insurance coverage.
Unlike conventional policies, K2 Cyber advances beyond static offerings by incorporating continuous monitoring, dynamic underwriting, and adaptive coverage that evolves with the changing cyber threat landscape. This approach transforms cyber insurance from a mere passive financial risk transfer into an active risk management tool, enabling businesses and individuals to stay ahead of cyber threats.
K2 Cyber was founded and is led by Keith Moore, former CEO and founder of CyberPolicy and ex-CEO of CoverHound. He is supported by seasoned industry professionals, including Meghan Hannes, the former Head of U.S. Underwriting for Cyber Risks at Beazley, and Raymond Lynch, the former Business Insurance Vertical Lead at Liberty Mutual. Together, they bring extensive expertise in SMB cyber insurance, cybersecurity, and technology.
