Chubb has launched an innovative insurance solution tailored for businesses operating within the life sciences sector. The Premier Life Science package integrates multiple coverage lines – including liability, cyber protection, and professional indemnity – into a single, customizable policy framework. This launch marks two decades of Chubb’s specialized underwriting expertise in the Asia-Pacific region.
The Premier Life Science package provides consolidated access to critical coverage types. Industries that qualify for this coverage include pharmaceutical manufacturers, biotech developers, medtech companies, and healthcare IT service providers.
Chubb has positioned its new offering as a response to the increasingly intricate exposures faced by life sciences firms, magnified by expanding regulatory demands and the digital transformation of the sector.
The World Economic Forum’s Global Cybersecurity Outlook 2025 highlights geopolitical tensions, regulatory fragmentation, and workforce shortages as primary drivers of cyber risk globally. These challenges exacerbate the disparity in cyber resilience between large and small organizations, as well as between developed and emerging markets.
The report advocates for a transition from traditional security frameworks to models that emphasize operational resilience and long-term preparedness. Business leaders are encouraged to view cybersecurity not merely as a cost but as a strategic core component. The report also calls for enhanced cross-sector collaboration to bridge skills gaps and safeguard digital infrastructure.
