The Health Commission of the Society of Insurance Agents (SAB) recently organised an impactful workshop titled “Health Branch Problems and Solution Suggestions” in collaboration with Group Florence Nightingale Hospitals. This initiative aims to address the ongoing challenges within the health insurance sector.
Speaking at the event held at the Florence Nightingale Çağlayan Hospital campus, SAB President Ayhan Çalık emphasized the importance of this series of workshops. “The SAB Health Commission has embarked on a comprehensive four-phase workshop programme designed to pinpoint chronic issues in health insurance and propose actionable solutions,” he stated.
In the first phase, a thorough examination of general and specific conditions alongside field practices was conducted to identify current problems. During the second phase, hosted at Florence Nightingale Çağlayan Hospital with the support of Group Florence Nightingale Hospitals, a draft report was shared with industry peers. Participants endorsed the findings and contributed additional insights, demands, and solutions to the commission.
The third phase, led by Enver Emre Nalcı, Chairman of the SAB Health Commission, will focus on the experiences of insured individuals in both contracted and non-contracted hospitals. This phase will involve discussions at private hospitals and a prominent university.
Finally, the fourth phase will involve sharing the collated data with health departments of insurance companies. A comprehensive report will be compiled with feedback from these entities, aiming to establish a strategic road map for future developments in the health insurance sector.
Ayhan Çalık concluded, “Our objective is to ensure that this report serves as a cornerstone for future strategies in the health insurance branch. As SAB, we are committed to being a proactive professional NGO that focuses on tangible actions rather than mere rhetoric.”
