Axa Sigorta Rises to Fourth Place in 2025 Non-Life Insurance Sector Rankings

According to data from the Turkish Insurance Association (TSB)

Axa Sigorta AŞ ranked fourth in the 2025 non-life insurance market. The company increased its premium production by 47.8% year-on-year, reaching a total volume of TL 90 billion 254 million 766 thousand. After adjusting for inflation, the real growth rate stood at 12.9%. The company’s market share rose from 8.27% in 2024 to 8.64%.

Key Segment: Fire and Natural Disasters

Axa Sigorta achieved one of its strongest results in the “Fire and Natural Disasters” branch. The company placed second in this segment, generating TL 21 billion 591 million in premiums. While nominal growth in this field reached 44.9%, its market share was recorded at 12.99%.

Solid Growth in Auto Insurance

The insurer also strengthened its performance in the “Land Vehicle Liability” (traffic) and “Land Vehicles” (comprehensive) categories.

Traffic (Motor Vehicle Liability): Axa Sigorta ranked fourth in the market with TL 21 billion 265 million in total production, representing a 55.7% nominal increase.

Comprehensive (Land Vehicles): The company produced TL 14.901 billion in this category, rising by 55.7% and securing fourth place overall.

High Real Growth in Health Segment

In the “Health Insurance” segment, Axa Sigorta recorded outstanding results. Its premium production grew by 67% compared to the previous year, reaching TL 18.21 billion. The real growth rate of 27.6% surpassed the company’s overall average, placing it fifth in the market.

Production Doubled in Agricultural Insurance

The insurer expanded its “State-Supported Agricultural Insurance” portfolio by 102%, reaching TL 2 billion 76 million in premiums. This segment achieved a real growth rate of 54.3%, which secured the company fourth place in the market.

Developments in Other Segments

General Liability: With TL 2 billion 937 million in production, Axa Sigorta ranked second in this branch.

Engineering Insurance: The firm ranked fourth, generating TL 4 billion 364 million in production.

Financial Losses: Production in this segment declined by 32.4%, falling to TL 1 billion 79 million.

Aircraft: The most notable drop occurred in this branch, with production decreasing by 97.6% compared to the previous year.
