Turkish Insurance Association to Hold General Assembly with Elections on April 8
The Turkish Insurance Association (TSB) will hold its Ordinary General Assembly with elections on April 8 in Istanbul. The meeting will bring together representatives from the insurance, reinsurance, and pension sectors to elect the association’s new governing bodies for the upcoming term.
According to a statement by TSB, the general assembly will take place at 1:30 p.m. at the Sheraton Grand Istanbul Ataşehir. Registration will begin prior to the official opening of the meeting.
During the opening session at 2:00 p.m., a moment of silence and the National Anthem will be followed by an address from TSB General Secretary Özgür Obalı. TSB President Uğur Gülen will then deliver a speech to the participants.
Guest speakers will include Davut Menteş, Chairman of the Insurance and Private Pension Regulation and Supervision Authority (SEDDK), and Osman Çelik, Deputy Minister of Treasury and Finance.
After a short break at 3:00 p.m., the meeting will continue in a closed session to evaluate agenda items. At 4:00 p.m., presidential candidates will deliver their speeches if any candidacies are presented. Following the conclusion of discussions, elections for TSB’s governing bodies will be conducted.
The election results are expected to be announced at approximately 5:30 p.m.. The assembly is also expected to outline the sector’s main priorities for the new term.
