AXA Insurance Introduces Farmer Protection Package
AXA Insurance has introduced a new product called the Farmer Protection Package Insurance, designed specifically to support farmers. The sustainability of agricultural production in Turkey depends on the resilience of farmers against risks in their daily lives and production activities.
The Farmer Protection Package offers comprehensive coverage by protecting farmers’ living spaces and production tools under a single policy. It includes protection for residences, barns, haylofts, warehouses, crops stored in warehouses, and agricultural equipment. The policy covers risks such as fire, lightning, explosion, storm, flood, and water damage to prevent disruptions in the production cycle.
The package includes up to 250,000 TL coverage for the farmer’s home and up to 100,000 TL for household goods, barns, haylofts, warehouses, seeds, fertilizers, and agricultural hand tools. Fire and third-party liability coverage are included, with optional extensions to cover partial tractor damage, including accidents in motion.
The policy also provides assistance services such as free tractor tire repair, tractor maintenance, and discounts on agricultural inputs like seeds, fertilizers, and pesticides through partner institutions. All these benefits are offered with affordable premiums suitable for farmers’ budgets.
Seda Bora Arkan, Director of International Business Development and Green Investments at AXA Insurance TRNC, stated: “Agricultural production in Turkey relies heavily on the dedication of our farmers, who face numerous unpredictable risks. With the Farmer Protection Package, our aim is to offer a practical and accessible solution that safeguards not only their homes and equipment but also their production process. We provide meaningful financial support, daily assistance, and accessible premiums to strengthen the agricultural sector and stand by our farmers.”
Through this new product, AXA Insurance aims to minimize the financial losses farmers may face and help sustain agricultural production by increasing the sector’s resilience to potential risks.
