Serpil Günal Appointed Deputy General Manager
Serpil Günal, a prominent name in the insurance sector, has been appointed as the Deputy General Manager of Claims at Bereket Sigorta and Bereket Pension and Life.
Education and Early Career
Günal graduated from the Department of Mathematics at Middle East Technical University in 1998 and completed her teaching certification at Gazi University in the same year. She began her professional career at Ziraat Bank in the 10th Banking School program.
At Ziraat Bank, she worked in various positions within Commercial Loans, Loan and POS Pricing, Personal Loans, Marketing, and Bancassurance departments. In 2006, she completed her MBA at Atılım University.
Professional Experience
In 2017, Günal was appointed Deputy General Manager for Operations and Technical Affairs at Ziraat Sigorta AŞ and later held the same position at Ziraat Emeklilik AŞ in 2020. That same year, she became the General Manager of Agricultural Insurance Pool Management Inc. and served as a Member of the Board at the Agricultural Insurance Pool (TARSİM).
Following her time at TARSİM, Günal joined Ziraat Bank as Group Head responsible for Agricultural Banking and Bancassurance. In July 2024, she became the Secretary-General of DASK (Turkish Catastrophe Insurance Pool) and continued in this role until the end of 2025.

As of March 2026, Serpil Günal has taken up the position of Deputy General Manager of Claims at Bereket Sigorta and Bereket Pension and Life.
