Helsinki Airport resumed operations after a three-hour closure triggered by a suspected drone, causing temporary flight disruptions.

Helsinki Airport, in the Finnish capital, was closed to flights for three hours after an object suspected to be a drone was detected.
Following concerns over flight safety, Finland scrambled fighter jets. The airport later reopened after authorities assessed that the threat had passed.
Authorities Responded to the Situation
In a statement posted on the social media platform X, Finnish Prime Minister Petteri Orpo said, “The authorities have taken action. The Defence Forces have stepped up their surveillance and response capabilities. I urge everyone to follow the authorities’ announcements.”
The Finnish Ministry of the Interior also confirmed that the drone threat had passed, stating, “Citizens can go to school and work in safety.”
