Presently, the Pixel Watch is equipped with the capability to unlock the connected smartphone when it is within proximity. However, this new feature aims to fill the gap by ensuring that your phone gets locked if it moves out of range.
Samsung smartwatches, which currently lack this capability, are also slated to receive this functionality. The feature is designed to automatically secure your phone if it is left unattended, requiring whoever finds it to input the correct PIN to access any data.
