Ascot Group names Xu Cheng as new Head of Data Strategy & Insights, enhancing their data-driven approach to business excellence.
Bermuda-based global specialty insurer Ascot Group has announced the strategic appointment of Xu Cheng as the Group Head of Data Strategy & Insights. In her new capacity, Cheng will spearhead the development of Ascot’s Group Data Office, focusing on implementing a robust global data governance framework. Her role will also encompass managing key data initiatives and collaborating with stakeholders across the organization to ensure optimal data quality and accessibility.
Cheng will report directly to the Group COO, bringing with her over 15 years of experience and a proven track record in the data and analytics domain. She initially joined Ascot in October 2021 as the Head of Business Intelligence & Insights. Before her tenure at Ascot, she spent four years at The Hartford, where she excelled as the Director of Analytics, Insights, Competitive Intelligence, and Technical Product Management.
Earlier in her career, Cheng held various senior positions at Liberty Mutual Insurance and Travelers Insurance. In a recent LinkedIn post announcing her appointment, Ascot highlighted her expertise and passion, stating, “Her skills will be instrumental in advancing our ongoing commitment to digitization and innovation.”
