Unico Sigorta is continuing its environmental and social responsibility campaign, “Every Policy is a Sapling, Every Sapling is Hope for the Future,” with an even more ambitious goal this year. Launched in 2024 alongside the introduction of the “My First Insurance” product, the campaign reached its initial target of 10,000 saplings last year, leading to the creation of the Unico Sigorta and Agents Memorial Forest in İzmir’s Menemen Bozalan region.
In 2025, the company has set its sights on planting 25,000 saplings. The “My First Insurance” product—designed to instill insurance awareness in children aged 4 to 10—provides coverage for damages they may cause to others at school, kindergarten, or on the school bus, combining security with environmental sustainability.
Unico Sigorta General Manager Ender Güzeler emphasized the dual mission of the project:
“While instilling insurance awareness in our children, we are also working for their future. In 2024, with the support of our agents and policyholders, we donated 10,000 saplings, contributing both to nature and to the well-being of our children. The increasing number of forest fires each year has shown us that we must take greater responsibility. This year, we aim for 25,000 saplings. For every ‘My First Insurance’ policy issued until Insurance Week, we will donate one sapling. I personally started by donating 1,000 saplings, and I invite all our agents to join us in building a future where our children grow up safely and nature flourishes. For us, every policy is not just a guarantee—it’s a lasting mark we leave on nature.”
