YouTube Launches New Subscription Plan
YouTube is preparing to roll out an innovative subscription plan designed for two individuals residing in the same household. This new offering, known as YouTube Premium Duo, is currently being piloted in various regions, including India, France, Taiwan, and Hong Kong.

Understanding the YouTube Premium Duo Terms
Currently, YouTube Premium provides options for single users, students, and families. The anticipated addition to this lineup is the 2-person plan, which will soon be available. To qualify for the YouTube Premium Duo, both participants must be at least 13 years old, possess a Google account, and belong to the same Google Family group.
YouTube has confirmed the introduction of this new subscription model in a statement, stating: “We’re experimenting with new ways to provide more flexibility and value to our YouTube Premium subscribers, including offering a two-person premium plan option that allows 2 people to share a subscription at an affordable price.“
The Structure of YouTube Premium Duo
This dual-user plan will complement the existing family and individual plans. According to shared screenshots, the pricing for the YouTube Premium Duo subscription is set to be 219 rupees (approximately $2.60) per month, making it an attractive option for users seeking shared benefits at a reduced cost.
