The gaming community can finally rejoice as KRAFTON, Inc. (CEO CH Kim) has launched the inZOI ModKit for the life simulation game inZOI. This anticipated update also marks the game’s debut on Mac devices, now available for pre-order.
Available on the Epic Games Store, the inZOI ModKit includes official add-ons for popular 3D design tools like Maya and Blender, simplifying the creation of 3D elements. Gamers can share their mods on CurseForge, a community platform managed by Overwolf, allowing for easy mod distribution and sharing.
Earlier this year, KRAFTON revealed a detailed plan to enhance inZOI’s modding capabilities through a series of updates. The June update introduces the inZOI ModKit and modding features for clothing sets, furniture, and a data editor for streamlined game data management. September will see additional features for character skins, architectural elements, and interaction-based content, while December will focus on scenario editing and localization tools, fostering more diverse and engaging content creation.
To foster a thriving modding community, KRAFTON is organizing two global competitions in June. The ‘The Next Top Modder’ hackathon, in collaboration with CurseForge, runs from June 19 to August 1, offering a $11,000 USD prize pool. Categories include Best Dress Set, Best Furniture Mod, Community Favorite, and Most Submitted Mods. Additionally, KRAFTON has partnered with CONNECT, a 3D fashion design platform by CLO Virtual Fashion, for the ‘Every Style Starts with You’ competition from June 13 to August 1, with $26,200 USD in total prizes. Designers are encouraged to submit fantasy-inspired clothing designs in categories such as Ready-to-Wear, Fun and Playful Designs, and Conceptual Outfits.
According to CEO CH Kim, “The inZOI ModKit update empowers players to actively shape the game’s narrative.” He emphasized, “Future updates will continue to be guided by community feedback.”
The June update also enhances inZOI with an expanded relationship system, new cheat code functionalities, and additional clothing and furniture options.
As exciting news for Mac users, inZOI is now available for pre-order on the Mac App Store, with a release slated for August on both the App Store and Steam. The Mac version runs natively on Apple silicon chip Macs, utilizing MetalFX Upscaling and Apple’s advanced ray tracing technology for the M3 and M4 chip families, delivering high-quality visuals and smooth gameplay. CEO CH Kim expressed, “We are thrilled to bring inZOI to Mac, harnessing Metal and Apple silicon technology for an unparalleled gaming experience.” He added, “Our goal is to make the game accessible across diverse platforms globally.”
