GTA 6 Trailer Breaks Viewing Records

The Spectacular Release of the GTA 6 Trailer

The gaming world was abuzz this week with the release of the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6) trailer. The game, which initially captivated audiences with its first teaser back in December 2023, has once again set a new standard with its latest preview. This second trailer not only captivated fans with its stunning graphics but also attracted a massive audience on social media platforms.

A Record-Breaking Achievement

The first GTA 6 trailer, which debuted in 2023, garnered a massive 93 million views within its first 24 hours, setting the bar high for game trailers. However, the newly released trailer has shattered this record, amassing an astonishing 475 million views within the same time frame. This impressive achievement means the second trailer outperformed the first by a factor of five.

Setting New Benchmarks in Online Video Views

According to Rockstar Games, this remarkable performance establishes a new record not just for game trailers but for all online video content. The previous record was held by the trailer for Deadpool & Wolverine, which achieved 365 million views in its initial 24 hours, a milestone Disney touted as a record at the time. GTA 6 has not only surpassed this record but has significantly raised the benchmark.

The Ripple Effect on Music Streaming

The trailer’s impact extended beyond views; the song featured in it experienced a 182,000% increase in Spotify streams within just 24 hours. This overwhelming interest in GTA 6 indicates that its release, slated for May 26, 2026, is poised to achieve an unprecedented first-day performance in the gaming industry.
