The simmering tensions in American politics have reached a boiling point. Former President Donald Trump and tech titan Elon Musk, once seen side by side at the same table, are now at odds on the world stage. This confrontation goes beyond personal egos; it poses a genuine threat to the US national security infrastructure, impacting areas from space exploration to defense, and strategic deterrence.

In response to Trump’s post, Musk proposed, “Just cut Elon’s government subsidies to save billions in our budget.” The stakes are high, as Musk’s company, SpaceX, plays a pivotal role in America’s military and strategic capabilities.
In 2024, SpaceX was responsible for 84 percent of all satellite launches, a testament to its significance in the industry.
