Dr. Ahmet BAĞCI Appointed Chairman of TARSİM Board of Directors

With the approval of Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Dr. Ahmet BAĞCI has been appointed as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Agricultural Insurance Pool (TARSİM), effective August 4, 2025.

In its announcement, TARSİM extended its best wishes to Dr. BAĞCI, stating:

“We wish Dr. Ahmet BAĞCI success in his new position and convey our respect and good wishes.”

About Dr. Ahmet BAĞCI

Born in Afyonkarahisar in 1981, Dr. BAĞCI graduated from the Department of Economics at Gazi University’s Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences. He completed his master’s degree at Gazi University’s Institute of Social Sciences and Middlesex University in the United Kingdom. He earned his PhD from the Department of Economics at Gazi University’s Institute of Social Sciences and has served as a visiting lecturer at the Police Academy and TOBB ETÜ University.

Throughout his career, Dr. BAĞCI has held various positions in public service, including roles at the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Ministry of Treasury and Finance, the Court of Accounts, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and the Presidency General Secretariat. He has also served as Deputy General Manager at Agricultural Credit Holding Inc., Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors at Fertilizer Factories Inc., and Deputy General Manager at Agricultural Credit Cooperatives.

In 2022, he began serving as the European Union Advisor in Brussels. On June 22, 2023, he was appointed Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Forestry by Presidential decree.

Fluent in English, Dr. Ahmet BAĞCI is married and the father of one child.
