TSB Visit to Istanbul Chamber of Commerce

Turkish Insurance Association Chairman Ahmet Yaşar visited the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce to discuss insurance sector developments, protection gaps, and the insurance needs of Istanbul’s business community.

Ahmet Yaşar, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Turkish Insurance Association (TSB), met with Şekib Avdagiç, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (İTO), and the accompanying delegation in Istanbul.

The meeting was attended by Ercan Özboyacı, member of the Presiding Board of the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce, Mehmet Develioğlu, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors, and Yakup Köç, member of the Board of Directors.

Insurance Sector Developments and Protection Gaps

During the meeting, participants evaluated current developments in the insurance sector and reviewed protection gaps in Turkey and Istanbul. The insurance needs and expectations of Istanbul’s business community were also addressed.

Views were exchanged on strengthening cooperation between the insurance sector and the real economy. The strategic importance of the insurance sector for sustainable economic growth and the business world was also emphasized.

The visit concluded after mutual assessments and an exchange of views.
