Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance reveals new leadership roles in Ireland, enhancing its commitment to global strategic growth.
Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI), a prominent provider of commercial property, casualty, and specialty insurance solutions, has made significant leadership changes in its Irish operations. Caoimhe Gormley has been appointed as the new Country Manager, while Ciaran Reddin takes on the role of Head of Executive & Professional (E&P) Lines in Ireland.
Gormley steps into her new position following the promotion of Louise Kidd, who has recently been named the Head of Underwriting for Europe at BHSI. Despite her new responsibilities, Gormley will continue her role as the Head of Customer & Broker Engagement in Ireland, a position she has held since 2023. With 17 years of valuable industry experience, Gormley initially joined BHSI in 2018 as Head of E&P Lines in Ireland.
In parallel, Reddin, who became a part of BHSI in 2019 as a Senior Underwriter specializing in Professional Indemnity in Ireland, has also been promoted. In 2022, he advanced to become the Head of Professional Indemnity and Cyber within the Executive & Professional Lines segment in Ireland. Reddin brings over a decade of industry expertise to his new role.
Alessandro Cerase, the Head of Europe at BHSI, praised the promotions, stating, “Caoimhe and Ciaran are proven leaders who exemplify BHSI’s customer-first values and culture. Thanks largely to their contributions, we have seen steady growth in our business operations in Ireland. I am excited to collaborate with them in their new capacities as we aim to further expand our business and enhance our relationships with customers and brokers.”
Both Gormley and Reddin are based in Dublin, Ireland, where they will continue to drive BHSI’s growth and innovation in the region.
