BHSI names Louise Kidd as Head of Underwriting for Europe, enhancing leadership and expertise in the European insurance market.
Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI), a renowned provider of commercial property, casualty, and specialty insurance solutions, is pleased to announce the appointment of Louise Kidd as the new Head of Underwriting for Europe. With more than 22 years of experience in the insurance industry, Kidd is poised to drive BHSI’s underwriting strategy and operations across the region.
Kidd joined BHSI in 2020, initially serving as the Head of Third-Party Lines in Ireland. Her outstanding performance and leadership skills led to her rapid advancement within the company, culminating in her role as Country Manager for Ireland and Global Financial Lines Underwriting Officer.
In her expanded role, Kidd will continue to oversee global financial lines underwriting, while taking on new responsibilities for BHSI’s underwriting operations throughout Europe. She will remain based in Dublin, ensuring a strategic presence in the region.
