Türkiye Sigorta and Halkbank have joined forces to launch the inspiring “Growing with Women Agents” project, designed to empower women entrepreneurs in Turkey’s insurance sector. The collaboration seeks to create opportunities for 500 women entrepreneurs to become licensed insurance agents within three years, marking a major step toward gender inclusivity in business.
Through this partnership, women will gain access not only to financing but also to professional mentoring, training, and business development support. The application process has been streamlined, allowing selected female entrepreneurs to easily join Türkiye Sigorta’s growing agency network.

ToggleThe initiative targets women under the age of 40 who have recently established their businesses or plan to do so. Eligible participants include those who already possess an agency authorization certificate or who meet educational and experience-based criteria within the field of insurance. This ensures that motivated candidates from diverse professional backgrounds can access the program.
Participants will benefit from extensive support, including mentorship programs, commission discounts on guarantee letters, and preferential access to business loans, credit cards, and POS systems. The project’s roadmap aims for 100 women-led agencies in the first year and 500 in total within three years, creating employment opportunities for at least 1,000 individuals.
Osman Arslan, CEO of Halkbank, emphasized that the initiative stems from a vision of enhancing women’s participation in the financial and insurance sectors. He highlighted that the bank is offering special financing solutions to enable female entrepreneurs to establish their agencies confidently. A tailor-made financial package provides up to 1 million TL in business loans for each entrepreneur, with flexible terms, including a 6-month grace period and a 36-month repayment plan. Additional products such as the Paraf Women’s Credit Card and agency guarantee letters of up to 100,000 TL are also part of the support suite.
Taha Çakmak, General Manager of Türkiye Sigorta, explained that their approach has always been built on trust—a value that becomes even more powerful when women are part of the process. Currently, 1,253 of their 3,795 agencies are led by women entrepreneurs, a clear reflection of the growing influence and resilience of women in the insurance industry.
The program includes training sessions, mentorship opportunities, and a 50% discount on agency guarantee fees. With this strong partnership, both institutions are paving the way for a future where more women can achieve financial independence, leadership roles, and long-term stability in the business world.
This national-level collaboration stands as a remarkable example of how strategic partnerships can transform not just individual careers, but the landscape of entrepreneurship itself—offering hope, equality, and empowerment for generations to come.
