The upcoming release of the Vivo X200 Ultra and X200s on April 21 is highly anticipated, especially for the Ultra model. Vivo has generated excitement by sharing sample photos and promotional videos, showcasing the phone’s capabilities. Portrait shots captured with the Vivo X200 Ultra at focal lengths of 35mm, 50mm, and 85mm have ignited discussions across social media platforms.
Vivo has officially revealed the camera specifications for the X200 Ultra. The primary 35mm camera is equipped with a Sony LYT-818 sensor, featuring a GLC 2.0 lens with Zeiss T* coating, ensuring minimal light reflection below 0.1%. This lens is stabilized with CIPA 5.0 level OIS and incorporates Vivo’s third-generation VCS bionic spectral imaging technology. The ultra-wide-angle camera also utilizes the LYT-818 sensor, developed in collaboration with Zeiss, and boasts a 14mm ‘Hawk Eye’ lens. This lens offers 181% more light intake and captures images 216% faster than the previous model, alongside dual-axis OIS for enhanced stability.
The 85mm telephoto lens is powered by a 200MP Samsung HP9 sensor and is the first to feature an APO-class telephoto setup in a smartphone, with a six-element design and 5.0 levels of OIS. Vivo claims it performs 38% better in low-light conditions and provides 41% more stability. At the heart of the phone’s imaging capabilities is the new VS1 chip, Vivo’s inaugural AI image processor, offering 80 TOPS of computational power. This enables real-time processing of bokeh, HDR, and multi-frame shots.
The camera system supports focal lengths ranging from 24mm to 100mm, allowing for 4K portrait video and night mode functionalities. The Vivo X200 Ultra is anticipated to be powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, promising top-tier performance.
