Building upon the innovative foundation of its predecessor, the Vivo X100 Ultra, the X200 Ultra promises substantial improvements, particularly in its camera capabilities. Ahead of the official launch, Vivo Product Manager Han Boxiao shared exciting insights into the device’s camera functions on Weibo.
One of the standout advancements in the Vivo X200 Ultra is its groundbreaking triple camera system, which offers Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) support across all lenses. This feature marks an industry first. The device also supports 4K 120 fps video recording and 4K 10-bit Log video capabilities, setting new standards for professional-grade cinematography on mobile devices.
The Vivo X200 Ultra boasts a large 1/1.28-inch sensor enhanced with advanced optical image stabilization technology developed in partnership with Zeiss. As demonstrated in sample images captured with the device, this technology elevates wide-angle photography, delivering stunning results in landscape photography.
Speculations about the camera setup suggest a bold configuration: a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-818 main sensor, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 200-megapixel Samsung HP9 periscope telephoto lens. These lenses are expected to work in harmony, supported by VS1 pre-processing and V3+ post-processing chips to enhance photo quality.
Prior to its launch, the Vivo X200 Ultra has been pitted against the iPhone 16 Pro Max in camera performance tests. These comparisons reveal that the X200 Ultra excels, particularly in low-light conditions and video stabilization. In side-by-side evaluations with Apple’s flagship, the Vivo X200 Ultra demonstrated superior detail capture and more effective optical image stabilization, positioning it as a formidable contender in the smartphone market.
