The signing ceremony at the Basketball Development Centre was a notable event attended by TBF Vice President Harun Erdenay, Türkiye Sigorta General Manager Taha Çakmak, former national basketball player Kerem Tunçeri, and National Men’s Basketball Team players Sadık Emir Kabaca and Kenan Sipahi, alongside National Women’s Basketball Team players Elif İstanbulluoğlu and Manolya Kurtulmuş.
Harun Erdenay expressed optimism about both national teams’ prospects in the upcoming European Championship: “We sincerely believe that both national teams will excel in the European Championship. The support from Türkiye Sigorta is crucial for our journey. Following their sponsorships in the Super League and Turkish Basketball League, they are now extending their support to the national teams. As TBF, our primary objective is to propel Turkish basketball forward. We aim to collaborate with brands that take pride in backing our national team, and Türkiye Sigorta is one such esteemed brand. Therefore, we extend our gratitude to them. The Türkiye Sigorta logo will now be proudly displayed on our national jerseys.”

Highlighting the significant contributions of Türkiye Sigorta, Erdenay stated, “Türkiye Sigorta’s backing of the Super League and the Turkish Basketball League has opened pathways for young talents.” He further added, “Sponsorships are vital for the growth of basketball. As a federation, we are committed to spreading basketball throughout Anatolia. The resources from these sponsorships will greatly aid in nurturing the youth.”
Reflecting on the upcoming Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Final Four match between Fenerbahçe Beko and Panathinaikos on Friday, 23 May, Erdenay remarked, “Having participated in the Final Four on numerous occasions, I know that in a single-game setting, every team has an equal opportunity.”
Taha Çakmak, Türkiye Sigorta’s General Manager, emphasized the company’s dedication to elevating their support for basketball: “As a national and domestic brand, we are proud to back both the men’s and women’s national teams.
