The Turkish Insurance Association (TSB) underscores that ensuring trust, stability, and transparency within the insurance industry remains one of its main priorities, noting that recently some media outlets have circulated inaccurate and misleading information about sector companies.
In the Association’s released statement, it was explained that publications and remarks potentially damaging the reputation of member institutions or creating false impressions among the public are being thoroughly observed. Such materials were noted to undermine both the sound operation of the industry and the correct dissemination of information to consumers.
The announcement further underlined that false or deceptive news and evaluations which may shake public confidence in insurance firms are unacceptable, and reiterated that the Turkish Insurance Association maintains a firm position against statements or publications targeting the corporate reputation of its affiliates.
TSB called on all media entities to adhere to responsible journalism standards, highlighting the necessity of producing content that is verified, impartial, and contributes positively to the sector.
