Samsung advances humanoid robotics, driving next-gen production efficiency with innovative

Samsung Electronics has officially announced that it is advancing research and development in humanoid robotics, aiming to integrate these intelligent machines into its production and logistics operations. The company plans to employ these robots across smartphone assembly lines, semiconductor manufacturing facilities, and distribution centers. By doing so, Samsung intends to boost operational efficiency while testing cutting-edge automation technologies directly within its own production ecosystem.

A new era of humanoid robotics is emerging as factories begin adopting advanced automation tools capable of performing precise and complex tasks previously executed by humans. At the International Robotics Symposium in Goyang, South Korea, Oh Jun-ho, who leads the Future Robot Development Team, highlighted that while the global humanoid robot industry is still in its infancy, market demand for human-like robotic solutions is expanding rapidly. He noted that Samsung’s dual role as both a technology manufacturer and an internal user positions it strongly to shape this evolution.

Development Focus and Collaboration

The South Korean technology giant has revealed that the design and production of essential robot components—including motors, articulated arms, and control software—are being carried out within the company’s own research facilities. This self-reliant approach provides Samsung with greater flexibility in design iterations and integration. Additionally, the firm has been collaborating closely with global leaders such as NVIDIA to enhance hardware performance and artificial intelligence capabilities.

Development Focus and Collaboration

According to recent statements, the company expects to unveil its first humanoid prototype to the public in the near future. The progress indicates that Samsung’s development process has reached a significant and advanced phase, suggesting these robots could soon become a powerful component of its future manufacturing strategy.
