Introducing the Huawei Kunling eKitStor Shield 200 SSD

Huawei has launched its latest high-speed portable solid-state drive (SSD), the Kunling eKitStor Shield 200, aimed at professionals and outdoor enthusiasts who demand reliability and speed. This state-of-the-art SSD boasts transfer speeds of up to 2000 MB/sec thanks to its USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 interface, accessible via a USB-C port.

Exceptional Durability and Robust Design

Beyond its impressive speed, the Shield 200 is built for durability. The drive is encased in a rubberized shell and protected by a sturdy metal casing. It offers IP67 certification, ensuring resistance to both water and dust, and is engineered to endure 3-metre drops and withstand pressure up to 2 tonnes, making it an ideal choice for rugged environments. Despite these robust features, the SSD remains lightweight at 145 grams alone and 180 grams with its protective case.

Advanced Security and Software Features

The Shield 200 provides top-notch security with hardware-level AES-XTS 256-bit encryption. It also includes comprehensive health diagnostics, encrypted backups, and seamless cloud synchronization through Huawei’s proprietary eKitStor Toolkit software.

Availability and Pricing

Available in 1TB and 2TB capacities, the Kunling eKitStor Shield 200 comes with a five-year limited warranty. The 1TB variant is priced at $106, while the 2TB version is available for $192. A 4TB model is expected to hit the market soon.
