Instead of proceeding with the anticipated HyperOS 3, the company might leap to HyperOS 26. This information, sourced from XiaomiTime, suggests that Xiaomi is looking to align with Apple’s fresh strategy.
Recently, Apple announced a potential transition from iOS 19 to iOS 26. Historically, Apple has maintained different numbering systems for various devices, leading to some confusion among users. The tech giant now plans to adopt a year-based naming scheme to streamline its offerings.
In a similar vein, Xiaomi appears to be aiming for a more straightforward and intuitive naming format. Although concrete evidence is sparse at this point, XiaomiTime hints that this change aligns with the company’s market optimization strategies. This approach could make it easier for users to identify the most current software version.
