Specifically, the iPhone XR, iPhone XS, and iPhone XS Max will not be compatible with iOS 19, leaving their users seeking alternatives. But why are these models being excluded? A12 Bionic Chip No Longer Supported Released in 2018, the iPhone XR, XS, and XS Max models are powered by the A12 Bionic chip. While this processor was cutting-edge at its debut, it has since fallen short of supporting the advanced features that Apple plans to implement in iOS 19. This includes enhanced AI capabilities, immersive augmented reality experiences, and robust security enhancements. Apple’s update policy ensures that only devices with compatible hardware receive new iOS versions.
