ToggleSamsung has made significant strides in extending the software support lifecycle for its smartphones, particularly for its flagship models. While the latest devices enjoy an extensive update policy, some of the older models have recently seen their support period come to an end. Notably, the Galaxy A02s, A12, and W21 5G are no longer receiving updates. This article covers the current list of Samsung models that continue to receive updates.
With the launch of the Galaxy S2024 series in January 2024, Samsung announced an enhanced update policy. The company committed to providing seven years of Android, One UI, and security updates for three models within this series. Similarly, the Galaxy S25 series, revealed on January 22, follows the same policy, expected to support updates until the Android 2031 version. Throughout this period, users will receive regular security and One UI patches, ensuring their devices remain secure and up-to-date.
