Japanese automotive leader Nissan has triumphantly re-entered the light commercial vehicle sector in Turkey, marking its return with a splash after a significant absence. At a distinguished event in Istanbul, the spotlight was on the new generation of the compact light commercial vehicle, the Nissan Townstar. This innovative model is available with both traditional internal combustion gasoline engines and a cutting-edge fully electric variant.

Electric Nissan Townstar: A Leap Towards Sustainability

The all-electric Nissan Townstar is crafted with a focus on sustainability and efficiency, promising users reduced operational costs. The vehicle is equipped with a robust 45 kWh battery, an intelligent energy management system, and advanced battery thermal cooling technology, ensuring optimal performance. Designed primarily for urban environments, it delivers an impressive 245 Nm of torque and can travel up to 382 kilometers on a single charge.

Design and Features

Offering versatility, the 4910-mm-long L2 version of the van provides a spacious cargo capacity of 4.9 cubic meters and can handle a payload up to 845 kilograms. The electric combi variant caters to both business needs and family travel, accommodating up to five passengers with significant luggage space. The interior boasts modern materials, while the exterior features LED headlights, a Kumiko-patterned aerodynamic front grille, and distinctive V-motion design elements, culminating in a sleek and contemporary aesthetic.

Nissan Townstar Pricing Strategy

Nissan has adopted a competitive pricing approach for the new Nissan Townstar, underscoring its value compared to prominent models like the Fiat Doblo in the segment. The gasoline-powered Nissan Townstar Van starts at 999,900 TL, with the L2 Tekna model featuring top-tier equipment and automatic transmission priced at 1,314,900 TL. For those opting for the electric versions, the Van variant is listed at 1,809,900 TL (EV L2 Tekna), while the Electric Combi versions are available starting from 1,879,900 TL, contingent on the selected equipment.
