Nintendo has officially unveiled all the exciting details about the Nintendo Switch 2 during today’s event. The pricing for this much-anticipated console has been disclosed for Japan, the United States, and Europe. However, the price and availability of the Nintendo Switch 2 in Turkey remain uncertain. Based on projections, the console’s price in Turkey is expected to hover around 30,000 TL.
CD Media Turkey, the official distributor of Nintendo in Turkey, has yet to announce the Turkish pricing of the Nintendo Switch 2. In a recent statement, CD Media Turkey mentioned, “Stay tuned for the sales information of Nintendo Switch 2 in Turkey, which will be released in June.”
The Nintendo Switch 2 is priced at $449 in the United States and 469 Euros in Europe. If we consider these prices without additional taxes, they translate to approximately 17,000 TL and 19,300 TL respectively in Turkey. However, Turkey applies a 20% customs duty and a 20% Special Consumption Tax (SCT) on imported consoles. Including these taxes, the prices for the Nintendo Switch 2 in Turkey can be significantly higher.
Since Turkey is considered part of Europe, we can project the pricing based on Germany’s rates. In Germany, consoles incur a 19% VAT. Deducting this VAT from the 469 Euros official price, the tax-free price stands at 394 Euros. When Turkish taxes are applied to this base price, the total comes to 28,047 TL. Factoring in distributor or importer profit margins, the anticipated price for the Nintendo Switch 2 in Turkey could reach 29,999 TL.
