Heartfelt Notes from Her Children

Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex and wife of Prince Harry, recently made an appearance on her friend Jamie Kern Lima’s podcast, The Jamie Kern Lima Show. Meghan, who also hosts her own podcast, Confessions of a Female Entrepreneur, shared a touching note from her children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. “Through their father: From Archie and Lili,” she read, “We love their food. We love their pancakes and we love, love, love their hugs.” The 43-year-old mother of two was visibly moved as she shared this personal moment.

‘I Was Not Expecting This’

“You are the best mom and we love you,” the note continued. Meghan, wiping away tears, commented, “How sweet. I also love that they call me ‘mummy’ instead of ‘mommy’; it’s so British,” she said, adding, “I didn’t expect this; they are really great. I’m glad I’m makeup-free, thank you.”

Emailing Her Love Every Day

In a promotional clip for the podcast, Markle revealed a heartwarming tradition she has for her children. She writes emails to Archie and Lilibet every day, envisioning them as a future time capsule. “I thought this would be a great time capsule for them and I created these email addresses for the kids… I’ll give it to them one day. I email them every night before I go to bed,” she shared.

On Self-Worth and Authenticity

Throughout the podcast, Meghan also delved into her personal journey of self-worth. She expressed that she no longer feels the need to prove her value to others. “We spend so much of our lives trying to prove things. Trying to prove that we are good enough, that we are beautiful enough, that we are smart enough, that you are a good wife or a good friend. I’m really tired of this proving game and if you can’t see that, I don’t have to prove it to you. It’s your loss because I know what a good friend I am, I know what kind of mother I am and I know what kind of person I am,” she declared, emphasizing her newfound peace and confidence.
