A leak shared on 4chan claimed that FromSoftware is working on a new pirate-themed game and that the project could be released before the end of the year. According to the leak, FromSoftware has been developing a new project under the codename Project FMC. The game is reportedly titled Cerulean Assault and is described as a dark RPG and soulslike experience.
The leak states that the game will not feature a large open world similar to Elden Ring. Instead, it is said to take place in a shipwreck environment structured almost like an island. Players are reportedly expected to control a character referred to as the drowned.
It is also claimed that the setting will remain focused on the wreck itself, rather than offering a pirate adventure across open seas in the style of traditional naval exploration games.
