Introducing the GeForce RTX 5060: NVIDIA’s Latest Entry-Level Powerhouse

Unveiling the GeForce RTX 5060

NVIDIA has unveiled exciting details about the GeForce RTX 5060, the latest addition to the Blackwell architecture lineup. Initially announced in April alongside the RTX 5060 Ti, this model‘s pricing and features have now been clarified, offering a glimpse into its capabilities.

Specifications and Architecture

The GeForce RTX 5060 utilizes the GB206 silicon, shared with its sibling, the RTX 5060 Ti. It boasts an impressive 3,840 CUDA cores across 30 Stream Multiprocessors (SM), which is approximately 800 fewer cores than the more advanced RTX 5060 Ti. This configuration positions the RTX 5060 as the entry-level offering in this series.

On the memory front, the card is equipped with 8 GB of GDDR7 VRAM, ensuring robust performance for a range of applications. The Total Graphics Power (TGP) is set at 145 W, providing a balance between power and efficiency. The RTX 5060 supports all the innovative technologies introduced by the Blackwell architecture, such as DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation, along with enhanced ray tracing and Tensor core capabilities.

Pricing and Availability

The suggested retail price for the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 is $299. Mark your calendars for its release on May 19, 2025. The cards will begin shipping from retail partners precisely at 19:00 Turkey time (9 AM PT / 12 PM ET).

Performance Expectations

As the GeForce RTX 5060 brings the Blackwell architecture to a broader audience, expectations are high for its performance, especially among 1080p and 1440p gamers. The market will soon reveal how this entry-level powerhouse fares in real-world scenarios and what its true market price will be.
