Huawei X1 and X1 Pro: Next-Gen Home Routers Unveiled
Huawei has recently launched its state-of-the-art X1 and X1 Pro routers, showcasing a modern design and advanced technological features. These routers are tailored for home users and come equipped with cutting-edge Wi-Fi 7 capabilities, bolstered by AI-powered features for enhanced performance.
Key Features of Huawei Router X1 and X1 Pro
The standout feature of these routers is Huawei’s proprietary Lingxi Antenna System. Departing from conventional external antennas, these devices possess a cylindrical form factor with 11 internal antennas, ensuring a comprehensive 360-degree signal coverage and optimal distribution throughout the household.
Both models are driven by Huawei’s exclusive Lingxiao Chip, which integrates a high-performance CPU, an AI neural engine, and a network acceleration unit. This AI-driven system adeptly manages signal adjustments based on user load to deliver a stable connection. Additionally, the routers are equipped with four power amplifiers (PA+LNA) to efficiently transmit robust signals even through thick walls.
On the connectivity front, these routers embrace Wi-Fi 7 innovations, such as Multi-Link Operation, allowing devices to concurrently utilize both 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequency bands for superior speed and stability. Technologies like 4K QAM and Multi-RU timing enhance bandwidth management, while Preamble Puncture optimizes data routing around interference, akin to a navigational system for Wi-Fi.
Regarding physical connectivity, the X1 model is equipped with two 2.5G Ethernet ports, whereas the X1 Pro model offers four ports. Both models are fully compatible with Huawei’s StarLight gateway and integrate seamlessly with HarmonyOS devices, including smart locks, cameras, and sensors.
These routers also cater to gaming enthusiasts with a built-in Game Turbo mode, which identifies over 160 popular games and enhances the connection to lower latency by up to 37%. The integration with HarmonyOS 4 streamlines device setup, offers robust parental controls, and provides visual network diagnostics to address over 80 common issues.
The Huawei Router X1 is priced at approximately $82 in China, while the X1 Pro is available for $125.
