Gears of War: A New Chapter on PlayStation

Following the trend of Microsoft-exclusive titles like Forza Horizon 5 entering the PlayStation ecosystem, Gears of War is the latest to join the fray. While renowned Xbox franchises such as Halo continue to remain exclusive, PlayStation gamers can now delve into the origins of this legendary series with Gears of War: Reloaded. Developed by The Coalition in collaboration with Sumo Interactive and Disbelief, the remastered edition promises an enhanced experience with support for 4K HDR visuals, up to 60fps in story mode, and 120fps in multiplayer. Additionally, it boasts advanced audio and visual technologies, including Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision, and a seamless story mode experience free of loading screens.

Pricing and Upgrades

Gears of War: Reloaded will be priced at $40. It includes all original DLC at no extra cost, featuring a special story mode chapter and comprehensive multiplayer content. Players will also have access to unlockable characters and cosmetic items. Those who have previously purchased the digital version of Gears of War: Ultimate Edition are eligible for a free upgrade.

Looking Ahead: Gears of War’s Future

Microsoft’s ambitions for the Gears of War universe extend beyond remasters. In collaboration with People Can Fly, known for developing Outriders, the company is working on a new title named Gears of War: E-Day, which was announced last year.
