Bupa Turkey, a subsidiary of the UK-based Bupa Group — one of the world’s leading players in integrated healthcare and insurance — has announced an agreement to acquire a majority stake in Platform Sağlık Hizmetleri ve Danışmanlık Organizasyon A.Ş., a leading provider of workplace health and remote healthcare services in Turkey.
Platform Sağlık Hizmetleri, part of the WellPoint Group, operates nationwide in occupational health, home care, remote healthcare, and laboratory services. The acquisition will be finalized following approval by the Competition Authority.
Strengthening Integrated Healthcare Vision
Bupa Turkey Chairman of the Board, Gökhan Gürcan, said the move represents a major step towards their vision:
“This development is an important step towards our goal of providing all our individual and corporate members with an uninterrupted healthcare experience at home, at work, and online. Following approval, our ‘phygital’ model — combining physical and digital healthcare — will enable users to access the services they need wherever they are. With workplace health clinics, 14 offices, a service network in 68 provinces, advanced technology infrastructure, and expert physicians across Turkey, this step will greatly strengthen our integrated healthcare vision.”
