The package, developed by Rockstar Games, is intended for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series platforms. As of last August, the project was in full development, yet a specific release year has not been disclosed, indicating potential delays.
Rockstar Games has assumed control of the marketing and promotional efforts for the Max Payne remake. Tero Virtala, Senior Manager at Remedy Entertainment, emphasized that Rockstar Games will be the authoritative voice on all communications, impacting the flow of information. Remedy Entertainment, known for its transparent communication strategy, has been more open about other projects, such as Alan Wake 2. However, the Max Payne remake’s marketing strategy is different, and all information dissemination must be approved by Rockstar Games. Despite the communication constraints, Remedy Entertainment has confirmed that the development of Max Payne 1 & 2 is progressing well.
