The AirCar Revolution

AirCar, Turkey’s trailblazing venture into electric flying cars, has achieved a significant milestone with its manned flight test. Joining the elite club of only five companies globally, AirCar is pioneering the electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) sector. The recent test flight took place at the Informatics Valley, where AirCar demonstrated a manned flight for roughly 10 minutes, braving winds exceeding 35 kilometers per hour. The test adhered to safety protocols, reaching a height of 8 meters. Eray Altunbozar, AirCar’s visionary founder and CEO, piloted this historic flight using both one-seater and two-seater versions of the vehicle.

Efficient Urban Transportation

Urban Mobility in Minutes AirCar’s eVTOL vehicles are set to revolutionize urban commuting and autonomous air taxi services. The journey between Kadıköy and Beşiktaş in Istanbul will be cut down to 7 minutes, a stark contrast to the usual 55-minute car ride. In London, the vehicle will facilitate a swift 6-minute trip between Heathrow Airport and the city center, while in San Francisco, it will cover the distance from the airport to Richmond in 18 minutes. Beyond personal use, AirCar will cater to air taxi companies, with future plans to develop AirCar Ports for intercity travel.

CEO Eray Altunbozar, reflecting on the groundbreaking flight, remarked: “With AirCar, the vision of safe, eco-friendly, and autonomous air travel is no longer confined to science fiction. It’s a reality, and it’s unfolding right here in Turkey. Our next initiative is to establish our pilot production facility and initiate mass production. Today, we stand among the few companies worldwide to have successfully conducted manned eVTOL flights.”
