Global marine insurer Skuld has made noteworthy appointments to enhance its business development efforts and yacht insurance division. Thea Thorstensen joins the global business development team, while Nicola Kingman assumes the role of Global Head of Yachts.
Thea Thorstensen, a seasoned professional with over ten years at Skuld, has held various positions including Underwriter Executive, VP, Head of Underwriting for Skuld Oslo1, and most recently, Senior Vice President, Head of Skuld Western Europe as of September 2023. In her new capacity, Thorstensen will spearhead Skuld’s global expansion strategy with a keen focus on the European market.

Nicola Kingman is set to join Skuld in September, offering a wealth of experience in superyacht insurance, accrued over 26 years at the Shipowners’ Club. Her most recent position was Yacht Syndicate Manager – Underwriting. These strategic appointments underscore Skuld’s commitment to providing exceptional service and innovative solutions across all facets of marine insurance.
