In an exciting turn for the tech giant, Samsung’s latest foldable phones, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Galaxy Z Fold 7, have officially entered the production phase. Reliable sources confirm that production of these models commenced alongside their respective accessories. Sticking to their timeline, Samsung is expected to unveil these highly anticipated devices by early July, following a successful production start in May.
Notably, this year’s strategy marks a shift in Samsung’s production approach. The company is opting for a more conservative manufacturing plan compared to previous iterations. Reports suggest that the Galaxy Z Flip 7 will see a production cap of around 3 million units, while the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will be even more exclusive with a production run of just 2 million units. This strategy reflects a significant 40% reduction in total output, likely due to forecasts predicting a potential slowdown in demand for foldable smartphones.
Technical Advancements and Innovations
On the technological front, the upcoming models are set to bring compelling enhancements. Rumors suggest that the Galaxy Z Flip 7 may feature a larger external display and could be powered by Samsung’s pioneering Exynos 2500 processor, manufactured with a cutting-edge 3-nanometer process. However, should this processor face production delays, a Snapdragon alternative remains a viable option.
For the Galaxy Z Fold 7, it’s anticipated that the device will utilize the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, the same powerhouse driving the Galaxy S25 series. This choice promises to deliver robust performance and efficiency.
Adding to the excitement, Samsung may introduce a tri-fold model later in the year. However, the production will be limited to a mere 200,000 units, indicating that it will likely cater to a niche market.
