Samsung One UI 8.5 update is rolling out to more Galaxy devices. Check out the full list of supported models and new features.
After completing the rollout of One UI 8, Samsung has intensified testing for the Android 16-based One UI 8.5 update. Initially limited to beta versions on the Galaxy S25 lineup, the update is now being trialed on various additional models.
Recent test builds from Samsung’s servers indicate extensive preparations for not just premium series like Galaxy S and Z, but also mid-range Galaxy A, M, and F smartphones and tablets. This shows that the One UI 8.5 update will reach more devices compared to earlier intermediary versions.
The models confirmed for the update include Galaxy S25, S24, S23, S22 families, Galaxy Z Fold & Flip 4 and later versions, and Galaxy A56, A55, A54, A53, A36, A35, A34, A33, A24, A25, A24, along with over 30 other devices. You can review the full model list below. Industry sources report this list will expand as the stable edition nears release. The official debut of One UI 8.5 is planned with the Galaxy S26 series, with a rollout to eligible devices expected soon afterward.
Among One UI 8.5’s standout changes are interface enhancements. The update introduces refined shadow depth, smoother transparency, and icon dimension adjustments. The Quick Settings menu now presents full customization options, allowing users to rearrange controls and modify scroll layouts.
Galaxy AI functionality also evolves in this version: Photo Assist now supports sequential photo edits, and AI erase and repositioning tools operate seamlessly. The new Storage Sharing feature allows direct connections between Galaxy phones, tablets, and PCs through the My Files app. The update additionally introduces Auracast audio streaming support and upgraded security settings.
