Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold debuts in the US and quickly sells out, showcasing strong demand for the innovative foldable smartphone.
Samsung introduced its triple-foldable smartphone, the Galaxy Z TriFold, in the United States yesterday. Despite a steep price of $2,899, the device was completely sold out within minutes of release.
Sold out in just 20 minutes
The Galaxy Z TriFold went on sale in limited quantities through Samsung’s official online platform and Samsung Experience Stores. Reports indicate that the entire stock was gone in roughly 20 minutes. Although this appears remarkable, it remains unclear how great the demand truly was, as Samsung has not revealed the number of units offered.
The Galaxy Z TriFold comes solely in the Crafted Black color with a single configuration of 512 GB storage. The company initially introduced the model in South Korea, where it also sold out rapidly. Samsung has emphasized that the Galaxy Z TriFold primarily serves as a demonstration of its technological innovation, designed for enthusiasts of foldable devices and technology aficionados alike. Interestingly, despite its $2,899 price, Samsung reportedly sells the device at a loss.
