CelsiusPro Group has significantly enhanced its climate resilience solutions (CRS) by integrating a team of experts in disaster risk finance (DRF) into their operations. This team, formerly part of the WTW climate and resilience hub, brings a wealth of over two decades of specialized experience. Joining the Global Parametrics division within CelsiusPro Group, this team is based out of London and Zurich.
Under the leadership of Kay Tuschen, who has spearheaded CRS since October 2023, they aim to deliver innovative parametric solutions to assist climate-vulnerable communities, particularly in the Global South. Tuschen commented, “Our goal with the Climate Resilience Solutions team is to provide state-of-the-art parametric solutions that benefit communities most impacted by climate change.”
Jamie Pollard, the newly announced DRF Lead, expressed enthusiasm about joining CelsiusPro, stating, “We are thrilled to have found a new home at CelsiusPro Group. Their unique value proposition, which combines technology-driven parametric insurance structuring with risk capacity for climate resilience projects, aligns perfectly with our skills and passions.”
Pro Global has made pivotal appointments to enhance its German operations, naming Roman Hannig as head of client engagement and Oliver Schippa as head of product. Roman, who brings with him extensive experience from Gen Re Corp in managing intricate employee disability claims, and Oliver, who joins from Proventum with a strong background in technology, data analytics, and insurance innovation, will both operate from the Cologne office.
In a strategic move, Beazley has elevated Sydonie Williams to the role of head of international cyber risks, effective immediately. Williams, who joined Beazley in 2019, has been instrumental in advancing the company’s cyber catastrophe bond. Her promotion is a testament to her leadership and deep expertise in the cyber risk sector.
Alessandro Lezzi, Beazley’s group head of cyber risks, expressed confidence in Williams’ capabilities, stating, “Sydonie has been a cornerstone of our cyber team and vital to our Full Spectrum Cyber offering. Her vast experience across various regions makes her ideally suited to propel our strategy, broaden our capabilities, and support our brokers and clients in navigating the complex landscape of cyber risk.”
