Gallagher Re announces Thomas Dubecq as the new Head of International Regional Retro, strengthening their global leadership team.
Reinsurance broker Gallagher Re has elevated its leadership team with the appointment of Thomas Dubecq as the new Head of International Regional Retro. This strategic hire underscores Gallagher Re’s commitment to expanding its global reach and enhancing its services in the retrocession market.
Dubecq transitions to Gallagher Re from Guy Carpenter, where he spent five years honing his expertise, most recently as Chairman for Africa. In that role, he was pivotal in advancing the firm’s presence across the African continent, collaborating closely with colleagues within the MMC Group.
Prior to his tenure at Guy Carpenter, Dubecq served as Head of International, Non-Marine Treaty, LIM at JLT Re. There, he orchestrated efforts across JLT Re’s international network, overseeing Treaty Reinsurance and Retrocession operations spanning EMEA, LATAM, and Asia.
Earlier in his illustrious career, Dubecq held prominent positions at Aon as Director, EMEA, and at Willis Re as Executive Director. His extensive experience and deep-rooted industry relationships are expected to be instrumental as Gallagher Re continues to bolster its regional retrocession capabilities on a global scale.
